As I have written before, the purpose of this blog is to get me to try and express myself more. I have also noted, and the frequency of my updates has amply borne this out, that while laying bare my innermost thoughts and feelings is all nice and fine, I should have some, and frankly, I don't seem to have too many of either.
I have now decided that I should "just write" as many kind people in the blogosphere have advised me (and anyone else who stumbles upon their blogs) to do. It is true, of course, that most of the people who have forwarded this advice write blogs that nauseate rather than inspire. It is also true that few readers, if any, seem to actually seek out their blogs to read. However, I am hopeful that, if I stick at it, I will, over a period of time, improve from writing garbage to writing something of pith and moment.
